The Magnawand ID 2100 features a patented (TID)™ Target Identification System designed to save you time from digging unnecessary holes, especially in hard or frozen ground. Great for locating manhole covers, catch basins, cast iron pipes, septic tank handles, oil tanks, steel drums, well casings and much more. The dual model allows users to select either standard detection mode or TIS mode where the device can ID horizontal or vertical targets. Target ID is indicated by both an audible tone and visual LED (Red / Green). The ID 2100 can effectively locate valves and curbs up to 9ft deep, survey markers up to 8ft deep, and PK nails up to 14” deep. The ID 2100 provides performance so controlled it can distinguish between a manhole cover and a close iron valve. The ID 2100 is constructed of strong ABS and the design protects switches while still allowing operators to use controls, even when wearing thick gloves. The ID 2100 can be submerged in water up to the handle grip (30") and can operate in temperatures between -13ºF to 140 ºF
